Keane: To stop Bale, Ireland must hit him hard but fairly

Ireland host Wales in a World Cup Qualifier on Friday, and assistant coach Roy Keane will be looking to stretch what the rules allow to stop star winger Gareth Bale.
The ex-Manchester United man knows full well who Wales' danger man really is after he led his side to the Euro 2016 semi-finals and as such has devised a rather primitive plan to try and stop him.
"To stop him, Ireland must hit him... but fairly," Keane told the Daily Mail ahead of the encounter. "We can't give him space for him to run.
"I can't say we have a particularly good plan against him, but we've got good players.
"Players like Bale can see your plan and change the game in an instance, which he has done on other occasions."
