Kermit Erasmus returns from injury in Lens defeat to Le Havre

South African forward Kermit Erasmus made his return from injury but was unable to help Lens avoid defeat to Le Havre on Monday evening. Erasmus missed the Blood and Gold's last two outings through injury but came off the bench at the start of the second half, with his Ligue 2 club already 1-0 down after conceding in the 26th minute. The 26-year-old frontman was unable to create or score a goal as Lens' promotion hopes took another hit, with third position up for grabs.

However, they remain in fourth position and level on points with Nimes (55), who currently occupy the play-off position, while an automatic promotion spot now lies four points ahead with four games left in the season. The Bafana Bafana striker has yet to score in 17 appearances – nine with parent club Rennes and eight while on loan with Lens – in all competitions this season.
