Bloemfontein Celtic midfielder Khethokwakhe Masuku says he hopes to be included in the squad to face his former club Orlando Pirates. Phunya Sele Sele will be hosting the Buccaneers in an Absa Premiership clash at the Dr Molemela stadium on Wednesday evening (19h30). Masuku has not featured since the arrival of Luc Eymael in March and was further hampered by a groin injury, however, he has since recovered is hoping to help the club in their relegation/top eight battle, with four games to go.

The 31-year-old winger believes the team is in need of a few changes and feels if given a chance he could help against his former employers, with whom he spent three years with between 2012 and 2015. "I believe I should be in the team [to face Pirates] because the team is not doing very well [at the moment]," Masuku tells KickOff.com. "So we can't stick with a team that is not doing well, that is why I'm saying I believe that some of us who haven't been playing must be given a chance, maybe we can help.

"I was out for two to three weeks because of a groin injury, but it's [the injury] something that happened after. Since the new coach got here, he's never played me. "I have now fully recovered and I'm okay. It [my selection] will depend on the coach." Celtic have lodged an appeal with SAFA against the PSL Disciplinary Committee's order for Eymael to return to Polokwane City, with a hearing date set for next Tuesday. Meanwhile, the Belgian coach has since been charged by the PSL DC for failing to comply with their order, but is set to continue his duties with the Free State-based club until after the SAFA hearing.
