After pushing for a move in the summer which fails to materialize, Lewandowski has come out to profess his love for the club and talks about the reason why he pushed for a move out of the Bundesliga giants.

In the cause of the summer transfer, the polish striker hired the services of super-agent Pini Zahavi to push through a switch to the Spanish capital.

"In April and May I was heavily criticised," Lewandowski said to Sport Bild.

"I didn't feel the protection of the club, I felt alone, and in two or three important matches, I didn't score. "Nobody came to my defence, not even any of the bosses, and it was as if I had had only one season at Bayern and got no, credit. "That was the reason for wanting the farewell."

With the support of fans at the club the former Borussia Dortmund striker has changed his mind to stay at the club, claiming he loves the club.

"I'm in love with Bayern again and I've realised that they still want me here," he explained.

"I will never go on strike, I will never upset the club and I don't think about other leagues at all." he said. Lewandowski admitted that he extended his contract with Zahavi but said that doesn't mean that the agent must find a way out of the club. "That's true, but he doesn't have to organise a transfer as there are many other things that a representative has to deal with," he concluded.
