Liverpool finally take a big decision over signing Fekir from Lyon

3 months ago  Raphael   Sport News

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has no desire to sign Nabil Fekir from Lyon this January. The France international has been linked with a move to Merseyside once again with the transfer window now open. But the Liverpool Echo say there is no chance of Klopp forking out for the World Cup winner this month. Chelsea have also been tipped to sign the 25-year-old.
Yet whether the Blues move for him - particularly having just landed Christian Pulisic from Borussia Dortmund - remains to be seen.
Woodburn and signing stance
Liverpool boss Klopp is willing to let Ben Woodburn find a new club. That’s according to The Sun, who say the 19-year-old may be shown the door this month. It is also said that Klopp could land a forward this winter. The Reds have already lost Dominic Solanke to Bournemouth, while Divock Origi is wanted by Fulham. And Liverpool could end up forking out to ensure they have enough troops available for their title battle.
Meanwhile, Former Liverpool star Graeme Souness has criticised Fabinho, admitting he is yet to be replaced by the former Monaco man.
"Liverpool don't have what I would call milky players," he told the Sunday Times. "Before the season began they identified midfield as an area that needed strengthening and brought in Fabinho and Naby Keita. "I am yet to be fully convinced by Fabinho and wonder why it has taken such a long time for him to get up to speed. "He has played well since getting into the team but he still has a bit to go."
