Liverpool have informed Barcelona they can sign Philippe Coutinho - but only for a world record price. Barca officials were in London yesterday for talks with Coutinho's agents about the prospect of a newly revised bid for the Liverpool midfielder.
Sport says Barca have learned the Reds are willing to do business - but for a world record €150m. Three months ago, Liverpool were prepared to sell Coutinho for euro;80m, but at current market rates they've now upped their valuation to almost double their original assessment.
The asking price has put off Barca, along with PSG, which have also made enquiries after Coutinho this summer.
