Liverpool has officially tabled an offer to sign AS Roma goalkeeper Alisson Becker for reported world record fee of £62m. The Brazil international was instrumental to Di Francesco’s team illustrious season last campaign which has attracted a lot of suitors.

Roma is considering the bid from the Reds but still holding out for a £66m deal for the goalie which the latest report coming out England claims the Reds have agreed to pay.

The record fee paid for a goalkeeper in the Premier League is the 40m euros Manchester City paid Benfica for Ederson in June 2017. Liverpool's bid, which is 70m euros, would overtake the current record for a keeper - 53m euros paid by Juventus to Parma for Gianluigi Buffon in 2001.
