Luis Suarez admits he is shocked by Luis Enrique’s imminent exit from Barcelona, even if he understands the coach’s decision. Enrique confirmed this week that he will leave his position at the end of the campaign, when his contract expires at the Nou Camp. The former Barcela midfielder has won eight trophies in almost three years in charge of the club - including the Champions League, La Liga and Copa del Rey. But while Suarez says the dressing room was surprised by Enrique’s departure, he sympathises with the 46-year-old’s desire for a break from management. "The truth is that he surprised us a little, we did not expect it, but it is a decision that is understood and accepted," Suarez told Onda Cero. "His justification is more than acceptable because the coach's role is very difficult. It takes many hours of work. He is a parent and wants to enjoy that." However, Suarez insists Barcelona will not allow their standards to fall in the wake of Enrique’s announcement, as they vie with Real Madrid for the La Liga title. "We do not lower our arms at any time, there are people who said that Barca gave away the league and were lost but not at all," added the Uruguayan.
