Manchester United striker Romelu Lukaku dropped a hint about his International football future. The Belgium forward reveal he will retire from international football after the European Championship in 2020.
The former Everton striker is part of the golden generation coached by Roberto Martinez, and despite being 25- years old he is the all time highest goalscorer for Belgium National team a feat that he achieved in November 2017.
“After the Euros, I think I’ll stop,” Lukaku told Business Insider when asked about his future in international football.
Since his £75m move to Manchester United last summer, he has scored 27 goals in 51 appearances in all competitions and notched four goals in six appearances at the 2018 World Cup.
Lukaku has represented Belgium in three major tournaments and if he sticks to his decision of retiring after 2020 which by then he would be 27 years then it will be a shocking news for Belgians heading into 2022 world cup in Qatar.
