Manchester United forward Romelu Lukaku had to be stretchered off after suffering an early injury during Saturday's clash with Southampton.
The Belgium international banged heads with Saints defender Wesley Hoedt in the ninth minute of the Old Trafford contest.
Lukaku stayed on the ground after the incident and was tended to by medical staff for fully five minutes before he was carried off, to a standing ovation.
Reports have subsequently emanated from Old Trafford suggesting Lukaku is being treated at the ground rather than being taken to hospital.
But there will nonetheless be concern about the wellbeing of United's leading goalscorer and he could be set to miss Monday's game against Everton at the very least - FA rules state a player who suffers suspected concussion cannot return to action within six days.
