Manchester United are weighing up a January swoop for Real Madrid midfielder Isco. The Old Trafford giants are keeping tabs on Isco as boss Jose Mourinho plots the next stage of his squad revamp after his near-£150million summer spree. The £25m-rated Spain international playmaker has fallen down the pecking order at Madrid under boss Zinedine Zidane and he is on United’s radar as they search for a player who could help solve their lack of creativity. Isco, who is contracted to Madrid until 2018, also appeals because he is viewed as an attainable mid-season target.
The 24-year-old is out of favour at the Bernabeu and set to be allowed to leave when the transfer window re-opens in the New Year. His only start of this campaign so far was in the UEFA Super Cup win over Sevilla at the end of pre-season, when Zidane was short of options. In La Liga, he's played just twice - both as a sub. Isco has been tracked in the past by Manchester City, Arsenal and most recently Tottenham, who were keen on him last month .
