Germany to play against Austria in an international friendly match as part of their world cup preparation. The big news for this friendly is the positive news about Manuel Neuer involvement in the match.

Die Mannschaft will play a couple of matches in preparation for the World Cup and the team's goalkeeping coach Andreas Kopke has confirmed the shot-stopper's comeback and might be in the starting lineup.

"Manuel is going to play," he told reporters in the Italian city of Appiano, where the players are based.

"It will be an important test, as these games are what he needs now and then we have to be tactful with Manuel and see if this works or not."

Although Neuer has been sidelined for the biggest part of the season, it seems that he is back just in time for the major tournament.  Germany coach Joachim Low has already assured that if Neuer recovers 100 percent he will be in the team, but If he can't make it, that position will be occupied by Barcelona's Marc-Andre Ter Stegen.

"My physical condition is good and I think the coaches, including the physiotherapists, are happy," Neuer said on Sunday. "I am very happy to be with the team and every practice session is important for me."

The German team will be in Group F with Sweden, Mexico and South Korea, but before the World Cup, they are set to face Austria on Saturday and Saudi Arabia on June 8.
