In an interview with South American television station Telesur late Monday, Argentina legend and former coach Diego Maradona insist he is ready to coach The La Albiceleste once again and he will do it for free.

The team led by Jorge Sampaoli failed to live up to expectation in Russia, failing to get past the round of 16 at the expense of Les Blues.

He was at the helms of affairs in 2010 World cup edition in South Africa as his side bowed out to an impressive German side losing 4-0 in the Quarter finals. The 57-years old left his job as the Argentina National team coach after disagreements with the AFA board.

Speaking to Telesur on Monday, he was asked if he would "lend a hand" if AFA called once more. He said: "Yes and I would do it for free. I would ask for nothing in return."

"It makes me feel bad to see all that we built with so much effort, destroyed so easily." Diego Maradona lamenting about the current state of the National team.

He was also asked to give his prediction on who will eventually be crowned champions in Russia.

The Napoli legend tips their rivals Brazil to take home the ultimate prize. "Brazil look like a very solid team. They look on their way to the title."
