Marcos Llorente: I see myself at Modric or Kroos' level

During preseason with Real Madrid, Marcos Llorente noticed that he was not going to enjoy too many minutes and so decided to leave, however the player is hoping to return at some point and believes he can reach the level of Los Blancos' current midfielders.
Llorente (Las Rozas, 1995) has become an essential player in a historic Alaves side who have managed to sneak into the final of the Copa del Rey.
Out of the corner of his eye he still watches everything that happens at the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu though.
"I do not regret the decision I made, who would have assured me that I would play ten matches in the first team?" he said in the latest issue of the digital magazine MARCA Plus.
"This is a very ambitious club that is going to grow in every way.
"It's difficult to return (to Real) because they are the best, but at the end of the season you'll see if I'm ready or not.
"At a competitive level, I see myself as a Kroos, Modric or Casemiro, but I am reflected in Carvajal, Morata or Lucas ..."
Although he has supported Real for as long as he can remember and has relatives that have shaped the history of the club, Llorente understands that doesn't give him a divine right to wear the white shirt.
"No one is given a chance to play in the first team because he is a son or a grandson," he noted.
"In my position, Real Madrid requires someone with experience and maturity.
" Time will tell if he is repatriated in Madrid and can finish what some of his relatives started.
