Crystal Palace goalkeeper Steve Mandanda has emerged as a surprise target for Marseille ahead of the summer transfer window.
According to the football transfer rumours in French Media, Marseille are edge closer to signing Crystal Palace goalkeeper Steve Mandanda.
The France international has joined Crystal Palace from Marseille on a free transfer in July 2016. The 32-year-old has a valid contract with Crystal Palace until June 2019.
Since his arrival from Marseille, Steve Mandanda has conceded 17 goals and provided only one clean sheet in 10 games for Crystal Palace in all competitions.
The 32-year-old is considered to be one of the best goalkeepers in France.
The France international has been in poor form for Crystal Palace this season.
Steve Mandanda has represented France at Under-19 and Under-21 level, winning 19 caps, before making his senior international debut in May 2008. As a member of France national football team, Mandanda has won 24 caps.
Euro Football Rumours understood that 32-year-old is set for a return back to France this summer by rejoining French giants.
How strong that interest is and whether Marseille will make a summer move remains to be seen but it is certainly one worth keeping an eye on.
