Barcelona forward Lionel Messi performed exceptionally in their 2-1 Champions League victory away to Eredivisie champions PSV Eindhoven, but much of the discussion post-match was regarding Gerard Pique's goal which came after the Argentine's freekick. In the post-match interview, the Argentine No. 10 proves he is more sincere compared to his rival Cristiano Ronaldo who most times deny the truth about his actions on the field of play especially getting angry that a teammate scored a goal which he could have scored.
Many people began to debate whether the set-piece was prepared beforehand, though Messi was quick to dampen those claims as he revealed the truth behind the goal a sign that shows he is a player who is sincere and loves saying the truth behind his actions on the pitch.
"It is a lie that it was rehearsed," a talkative Messi told Movistar Liga de Campeones. "The shot went badly and [Pique] was passing through."

"It was a great game for him, just like the whole team" he said. "We have won and we are leaving with our goal fulfilled [qualification as group winners]."
Barcelona will face Tottenham at the Camp Nou on December 11 in their final group match.
