Messi, Turan and Edgar battle to be Copa del Rey top scorer

1 week from now  Raphael   Sport News

By the time of the final whistle at the Estadio Vicente Calderon on Saturday night, either Barcelona or Alaves will have been crowned Copa del Rey champions, while one of the players might have claimed the top scorer award too.
As it stands, Sevilla's Wissam Ben Yedder leads the way with his five-goal haul, but both of the finalists have candidates to overtake the Frenchman.
For Barcelona, both Lionel Messi and Arda Turan come into this match with four cup goals to their name, so they could pull level or even overtake the Sevilla forward.
Alaves' Edgar Mendes is also in with a chance given that he scored three times during the Basque side's run to their first ever final.
However, Messi is the only one of the three guaranteed to start the match and he is looking to finish as the tournament's top scorer for a fourth time - although only once before has he been the outright leader.
The fact that the star players often skip the first few rounds occasionally throws up some surprising winners of the award, as has been evident over the past 10 years.
