Real Madrid midfielder Luka Modric featured on the next issue of a French football magazine, as he revealed the player he wish to have played with and he also jumped on the comparison between his former teammates Cristiano Ronaldo and France, Paris Saint-Germain sensation teenager Kylian Mbappe.
The FIFA The Best men's player of the year 2018 said that he wished he could've been a teammate of his former Real Madrid coach, Zinedine Zidane.
"I would've liked to have been a teammate of Zidane," he said to France Football.
The Ballon d'Or candidate also reflected back on his time playing alongside Cristiano Ronaldo with the Portuguese striker moving to Serie A side Juventus during the summer.
"Cristiano is streets ahead" maintained Modric when asked about the Madeira born player's ability.
"Cristiano Ronaldo is a player who is very much above everyone else, and Mbappe will continue to progress.
Modric also went further to praise Kylian Mbappé, who for many is one of the most promising talents in the game and a leading favourite to win the inaugural Kopa Trophy.
"I have bo doubt that Mbappé will continue to develop is a positive way", concluded the 33-year-old.
He has since dominated all the individual awards in the year 2018 which started from the FIFA World Club Cup where he won player of the tournament, at the World Cup in Russia he won the player of the tournament before ending it with FIFA The Best Men's, Luka was critical about his love for the game when asked
