For the fifth year in a row, Luka Modric has been named the best Croatian footballer, beating Mario Mandzukic, Ivan Rakitic and Ivan Perisic to the honour.
With votes cast by Croatian players and coaches alike, the Real Madrid midfielder stormed to victory and received yet another piece of hardware for his trophy cabinet, in addition to his LaLiga and Champions League successes of the past few weeks.
Modric and his Croatian teammates are currently preparing for this Sunday's World Cup qualifier against Iceland.
