The 2017/18 UCL final is one to
be remembered by the Egyptian sensation Mo’ Salah after being forced off early
in the game through injury. He couldn't continue after Sergio Ramos grabbed
hold of his arm and then fell on top of him.
The Egypt and Liverpool front man
has told his supporters that he's a fighter and determined to make the World
Cup.
"It was a very hard night, but I am a fighter," Salah said on his social networks. "Despite the odds, I am sure I will be in Russia so that you are all proud. "Your love and support will give me the strength I need."
According to the medical
examination that he was subjected to in Kiev while the final was still being
played, he has suffered a clavicular acromio subluxation that will mean three
weeks out.
If the diagnosis is accurate, it still gives Salah a chance of making Egypt's first match of the World Cup, which takes place on Friday 15 June against Uruguay.
