David De gea performance this season have not gone unnoticed by Los Blancos who have been monitoring the Spanish custodian for some years now.

Madrid first choice keeper has come under criticism all through this season, the latest one coming with a high profile error in the Champions League game against Juventus which might have cost them a place in the semis.

However, any chance of a deal has been cut off by Mourinho, who replied 'no chance' when asked about one on Friday.

The Portuguese coach went on to discuss how United have improved this season, in his opinion.

"Last year we won the Europa League, if we played Europa League this year we'd win it too but we played in the Champions League," he told reporters. "We weren't good enough to win it.

"Domestically last season we won the League Cup, now we are in the FA Cup final. This season we will finish top four I believe and I hope in second. "More points, victories, goals, less goals conceded, not consistently but many times better football, there has been a clear evolution in the team."
