Mourinho, Guardiola and Neymar loom large for Madrid and Sevilla

8 months from now  Raphael   Sport News

Next Monday, December 11 (12.00 CET in Nyon), Barcelona, Real Madrid and Sevilla will know their opponents in the knockout stages of the Champions League, and for the latter two there is the prospect of facing either Manchester United, Manchester City or Paris Saint-Germain.
Here are the balls
The Catalans will enter the draw as group champions with Los Blancos and the Andalusians as runner-up.

Morata at the Camp Nou?
That means that the blaugrana will face the return leg of their Round of 16 clash at the Camp Nou, and the other two Spanish teams will play their first legs in the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu and Estadio Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan respectively.
Ernesto Valverde's side, who won their group with a game to spare, have two names marked in red who they'd prefer to avoid; Bayern Munich and especially Chelsea.

Pep and Neymar
If the German and English teams are amongst the hardest, then the easiest are Basel, Shakhtar and Porto.
Three teams that have a tradition in the Champions League, but in no case appear as threats to Messi and Co.
For Real Madrid, the current champion, the situation that presents itself means they have two great teams in their periphery.
They are, perhaps, the best teams in this group stage.
We are talking, of course, about PSG and City.
The first, with the attacking trident of Neymar, Mbappe and Cavani, are worthy heirs of MSN and BBC, and remain one of the main candidates to win in Kiev.
City, meanwhile, continue their sensational form in both the Premier League and the Champions League.
In Pep Guardiola's second season, few doubt that they have enough about them to wreck Madrid's dreams... and to stop any opponent that stands in their way of European glory.
Drawing Manchester United would mean a return to the Santiago Bernabeu for Jose Mourinho, and a Liverpool side with Klopp has regained the prestige of yesteryear.
Besiktas and Roma seem, on paper, lambs to the slaughter... and the most desired opponent compared to the other four possible rivals.

The way of Sevilla
In the case of Sevilla, the same opponents as Madrid (PSG, City, United, Roma and Besiktas) await.
They won't play Liverpool of course, having met them in the group stage.
