Mourinho: We all think this is Ibrahimovic's last season at Manchester United

Manchester United enjoyed a fine 2-1 victory over Chelsea on Sunday, however in anticipation of Monday's league clash with Crystal Palace, Jose Mourinho has confirmed that this will likely be Zlatan Ibrahimovic's last season at Old Trafford.

The retired Swedish international missed much of the season courtesy of an Anterior Cruciate Ligament injury suffered last campaign, and he returned just before Christmas before suffering another setback.

"For Zlatan, we all think this is his last season at Manchester United," Mourinho explained in his pre-match press conference.

"It will be a big, personal decision for him whether to retire or not."He isn't injured, but he doesn't feel totally happy and ready to help the team, he only wants to return if he can really help."

At 36 years old, recovering from such a significant injury was always going to be tough, and the fact Ibrahimovic's last appearance came on December 26 suggests he rushed back.

Romelu Lukaku's goalscoring form has made the club miss the Swedish forward less, whilst Alexis Sanchez's arrival has only further strengthened their front line.
