Having one of the greatest attacks of all time is not cheap, the annual salaries of Barcelona's MSN now dwarfing the entire budgets of 16 LaLiga teams.
The board of directors at the club are doing their best to retain and renew the best players in the team but it's a delicate balancing act.
Neymar's contract improvement puts him at the top of the list, with an annual outlay of around 50 million euros gross.
That figure is above Lionel Messi's current deal, unless the Argentine and Barcelona are able to reach a new agreement which would again place him as the biggest earner.
Luis Suarez is currently finalising the details of his own contract and according to what MARCA has been able to find out, the Uruguayan is in line for a significant salary increase.
It would still be well below the other two members of the trident at around 25m euros per season.
In total therefore, the Catalans would be shelling out in the region of 125m euros per campaign for the front three alone - more than 21 percent of the budget for the club in 2016/17.
Only Real Madrid, Atletico Madrid and Sevilla, as well as Barcelona, are able to absorb that level of expense.
