Napoli unable to reignite title dreams as Juventus cling onto draw

4 weeks ago  Raphael   Sport News

Massimiliano Allegri was undoubtedly the happier of the two coaches after Juventus left Napoli's Stadio San Paolo with a point on Sunday night.
Sami Khedira may have opened the scoring with a deliciously crafted one-two move in the opening stages, but the hosts came back into the game and created far more chances than the Serie A champions.
Only a Marek Hamsik one-on-one broke Gianluigi Buffon's dominion over his net, the goal giving Napoli 30 minutes to go on and get a winner, something they were unable to do as the game ended 1-1.
A whole 10 points separate the two sides with eight games left to play in the Italian top-flight, Juve sitting first and six clear of main challengers Roma, who beat Empoli 2-0 on Saturday.
