The German national team staff have announced that star keeper Manuel Neuer will not take part in their upcoming matches this international break, as a problem to his calf muscle will sideline the 30-year old for the next few weeks.
It isn't clear as of yet whether he will be back in time for the all-important Real Madrid Champions League quarter-final first leg on April 12 at Allianz Arena.
Bayer Leverkusen's Bernd Leno will take over in goal for the friendly against England and World Cup Qualifier against Azerbaijan, although there is no doubt that the more serious repurcussions may be felt on the club level after international break comes to an end.
Uncapped Paris St Germain keeper Kevin Trapp has been called up to replace Neuer.
Neuer, 30, has kept 13 clean sheets in 25 games for Bayern this season and played in the German champions' 1-0 win over Borussia Moenchengladbach on Sunday.
