Newcastle United on Monday evening sealed their return to the Premier League with a 4-1 win over Preston North End in the Championship. The Magpies were relegated from the topflight at the end of the 2015/16 campaign, but have responded terrifically by clinching automatic promotion with two games to spare. Ayoze Perez bagged a brace, opening the scoring in the seventh minute before finishing off the tie in the 67th minute, with Chrisitian Atsu and Matt Ritchie scoring in between. Rafael Benitez's side are now four points off log leaders Brighton & Hove Albion, who have also clinched promotion, and next travel to Cardiff on Friday evening before rounding off the season by hosting Barnsley next Sunday, May 7.
