Sad news for Nigeria football as a who as a 23-year-old Nigerian footballer, named Ekundayo Ebenezer Mawoyeka died after suffering a heart attack during a Saturday match in Turkey.
The young striker who plays for Sarayköyspor in the Super Amateur League collapsed in the 35th minute of the game against Yeilköyspor at the Servergazi Stadium and was rushed to the Servergazi State Hospital where he was confirmed dead.
According to Turkish website,Haberturk, the match was abandoned due to the incident. Denizli Amateur Sports Clubs Federation President Feyyaz Ceen, said in a statement, that the club is sad about what had happened.
