Super Eagles midfielder, Azubuike Okechukwu reveals how Nigerian football legend Austin 'Jay-Jay' Okocha had a positive influence on former Real Madrid star Robson de Souza popularly known as Robinho football career.
Okechukwu and the 36-year-old are teammates at Turkish club İstanbul Başakşehir and in a recent interview on Channels Television he revealed how the Brazilian confessed he learned some football tricks from the Super Eagles legend.
"Watching Robinho on television as I did some years ago is different from playing with him as teammates. It's been fantastic playing with Robinho," he said.
"He (Robinho) told me he grew up liking Nigerian players like Jay-Jay Okocha and has learned a few things from his tricks and dribbles. When I came to the club, he told me: 'you're Jay-Jay's brother. We have been close since then."
The former Manchester City forward is currently in his latter years of his football career.
