Polish striker Robert Lewandowski is likely not to force a move away from the Bavarians after he has been warned by the new manager Niko Kovac that he will not be allowed to leave the club.
The Bayern Munich striker was open to leaving the Allianz arena this summer but the Croatian coach has insisted the club will block any opening for the striker to leave.
"He's not going to leave the club and I can safely say that we don't want to sell him," Kovac told Sky Sports News in Miami on preseason.
"It is true that Robert would like to go elsewhere but what he would like and what we want are different things.
"We are the ones who decide and Robert has a contract here, although I don't know when it expires. "But he will fulfil that deal for as long as possible."
The former Borussia Dortmund man, who has been linked with Real Madrid, is under contract at the Allianz Arena until 2021.
