The Catalan giants have completed the signing of former Middlesbrough flop Martin Braithwaite from Kenneth Omeruo's club Leganes. They signed the Dane after getting permission to sign an extra forward outside the transfer window following the injury crisis at the club.
Barca have paid his €18 million release clause and confirmed he has signed a contract with the club that runs until the summer of 2024. LaLiga rules allow an emergency signing if the club can provide sufficient documentation to prove that their player will be missing for more than six months with injury.
The 28 year old Dane emerged as a surprise shock target after Barca were linked with a lot of strikers in the hunt to replace Suarez. He has signed a four and half year deal with an outrageous release clause of £250m.
The Denmark man has six goals and two assists in La Liga this season and is only eligible to play in the league for Barcelona in 2019-20.
