German club VfL Wolfsburg have announced the signing of Chelsea Women goalkeeper Hedvig Lindahl. The 36-year-old has inked a one-year contract until June 30, 2020, one and a half months before the close of the summer transfer window.
Lindahl has racked up 165 international appearances for Sweden Women's national team and featured for the country in four Women's World Cup.
The 1.79-meter goalkeeper won the FA Women's Super League and the Women's FA Cup in 2015 and 2018 during her time with Chelsea.
Prior to joining Chelsea in December 2014, she had spells with Kristianstads DFF, Kopparbergs/Goteborg FC, Linkopings FC, Malmo, Tunafors Sk and DFK Värmbol.
Lindahl, who is one of the most experienced goalkeepers in Europe, made 77 appearances in total for Chelsea.
