Liverpool has won the transfer battle between them and their fierce rivals Manchester United as the Reds confirmed the signing of Bundesliga star, Thiago Alcantara from FC Bayern Munich.
The Spanish international joins the Merseyside Reds after a successful seven years stay with Bayern Munich which comes with another treble last season.
Thiago is rated as one of the best midfielders in the world currently and he would be a great addition to Jurgen Klopp's team who have been lacking a little bit in the midfield position.
Liverpool released an official statement to announce Thiago Alcantara's deal on Friday.
"Liverpool Football Club have completed a deal for the permanent transfer of Thiago Alcantara from FC Bayern Munich," the club stated.
"The Spain international midfielder has put pen to paper on a long-term contract with the Reds and becomes the club’s second signing of the transfer window, following Kostas Tsimikas in August."
