Malcom joins Barcelona
Barcelona has successfully hijacked the deal that was supposed to take the former Bordeaux forward Malcom Oliviera to AS Roma.
According to BBC football, Barcelona has reached a deal to sign Bordeaux winger Malcom for £36.5m - a day after Roma said they were on the verge of signing him.
The 21-year old was pictured outside the Barcelona club offices at the Nou Camp, he is expected to have his medicals today and put a pen to paper that will keep him at the Catalan club for the next five years.
The deal is worth an initial 41m euros (£36.5m) with another 1m euro (£900,000) in variables. Malcom is the second Brazilian to join Barcelona this summer after Arthur joins the Blaugrana from Gremio for £35.5m.
This signing makes it four non-EU players in the Barcelona squad which is against the La Liga’s regulations, which means they will have to offload one or two.
