AC Milan legend Clarence Seedorf has been named the new Cameroon coach alongside Barcelona legend Patrick Kluivert who will be his assistant at the dugout.

Seedorf beats the likes of former England manager Sven-Goran Eriksson who was seen as the favourites to land the job. Kluivert and Seedorf are both conversant with each other, they are both dutch and also played under Louis Van Gaal in the 1995 Ajax squad that won the UEFA Champions League.

The 42-year old lands his fourth coaching job having worked at AC Milan, Shenzhen in China and recently in Spain with Deportivo la Coruna.

Cameroon are the host nation for the 2019 African cup of Nations and are also the defending champions.
