Zinedine Zidane departure from
Real Madrid have put the Los balncos in the market in order to find a befitting replacement, The number one
candidate Mauricio Pochettino hasn't closed the door on his departure from
Tottenham.
After just renewing his contract
till 2023 the Argentine admits to being very happy in the Premier League and
doesn't want to look beyond the present day, but has recognised that the future
can never be predicted.
"You never know what can happen tomorrow," he said at he presentation of 'A New World' in London. "Life puts you in situations that you don't expect."
The Argentine made his admiration
of Real clear, something that could concern Tottenham.
"They've won four Champions Leagues in five years and three of them in a row," he explained. "They are a team of great players and one of the best in history."
In addition, Pochettino didn't
really want to rub salt into the wounds by talking at length about Zidane's
departure.
"Everything has happened very fast," he added. "Zidane has done a great job at Real Madrid and I understand the coach's mentality, of feeling alone."
Pochettino renewed his contract
with Tottenham just 10 days ago, and is keeping a low profile at present.
"I am very happy with my current team," he said. "But you never know what can happen. "I am excited about my club's project and I'm fully focused on the present. "What will happen later will be seen."
