Paul is starting to settle into Jose Mourinho's team at Old Trafford, and his brother has backed him to start showing his best level in the coming weeks. Florentin Pogba, brother of Manchester United star Paul, has admitted that his favourite Premier League side is Arsenal. The centre-back, who is on the books of Saint-Etienne but is currently on the sidelines due to injury, may not have won himself any brownie points with the world’s most expensive player, but admitted he would love to join his sibling in England.
“Playing in England is a dream I have had since I was a kid. I had the chance this summer,” he admitted in an interview with TF1. “Is there a team I prefer more than the others? Arsenal.” Pogba also spoke of Paul’s return to Old Trafford and is confident his younger brother is starting to adapt to life under Jose Mourinho. “It was a little difficult for him at first but slowly he’s starting to awaken and I think he will bring all his qualities to the team now,” he revealed.
“Paul is fine with his status as the most expensive player in the world. We don’t talk about it with him - I only talk about his performances.” Pogba’s Saint-Etienne side are in action on Sunday as they tackle Olympique Lyonnais in one of France’s most heated local rivalries.
