Rashford speaks on the best man for United's job after Pochettino's sack

Marcus Rashford believes there is no better person to manage Manchester United than Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. The Norwegian is approaching his one-year anniversary at the club after being brought in as caretaker manager last December to replace Jose Mourinho.
Tottenham's sacking of Mauricio Pochettino on Tuesday inevitably led to discussions about where the Argentine might end up next, with United obviously mooted as a possibility. However, there is little chance of him moving to United any time soon as the Reds' board remains committed to Solskjaer and his long-term plan for the club. Rashford, who has been in fine form recently, has backed his manager.
"Ole is a great guy, a great manager and he has the club’s best interests at heart so there’s not a better person for the job in my opinion,” Rashford told Sky Sports.
United travel to Sheffield United on Sunday as they target another win to push them closer to the top four. After a mixed start to the season that has seen them win only four times in the league, United sit nine points off fourth-placed Manchester City. While securing a return to the Champions League next season is important to Rashford, that is not his only target.
"If we got top four but didn’t get a trophy I wouldn’t come out of the season happy," the England international said.  "If we managed to get some trophies and get ourselves into the top four then it’s been a successful season.
"For me it’s about putting markers down for the future because we know this period is not going to change overnight and we know we’re not going to get where we want to be overnight in terms of what he (Solskjaer) wants out of the players.
"We have to bide our time and be patient and as long as we keep working hard and we believe in what we’re doing, which I think the team do 100 per cent, I think we’ll be fine."
