Real Betis manager plays mind games with Barcelona over Lionel Messi

Real Betis visit the Camp Nou this weekend and the Andalusian club's coach Quique Setien his trying to play mind games with Barcelona before the game as he advised the Catalan club not to play Lionel Messi in the match against his side, which would certainly be convenient for the visiting tactician.
Lionel Messi is close to returning from an arm injury, but Setien doesn't think the Argentine should be risked in this LaLiga Santander match and explained his reasoning.
"I think Messi should wait, I wouldn't risk him," Setien said in an interview with a Sports media. "There's the international break after this game and he'll have two more weeks.
"Any fall could provoke a serious problem that might have important consequences. "They're doing well and there's not a need to take risks.
"That said, I do like to see him on the pitch as he's a joy to watch."
Setien was also asked about the chances of him one day taking over at Barcelona and he pointed out that they already have a talented coach with Ernesto Valverde.
"I'm preparing to take on AC Milan and Barcelona and we'll go to try to play well and to try to win," he said. "Barcelona have a great coach, one whose pause, tranquillity, focus and play I like.
"We can all improve and we have abilities, but the thing I'm focussing on each day is Real Betis. "One day I'd also like to return to Racing Santander.
"Everything else will have to come if it comes. "If it doesn't, that's no problem."
The match between Barcelona and Real Betis takes place at 4:15 pm on Sunday.
