Real look to continue impressive record against Basque sides

Basque sides have been routinely dispatched by Real Madrid this season, with Los Blancos winning six of seven encounters against opponents from the far north to date. They opened their campaign in San Sebastian and recorded a 3-0 over Real Sociedad the Estadio de Anoeta, and they later defeated them by an identical scoreline at the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu.
The second Basque side they faced against was Eibar, who came away with a point from the capital.
However, in the return at the Estadio Ipurua, Zinedine Zidane's side romped to a 4-1 win.
Their next challengers from the province were Athletic Club, who went down 2-1, a scoreline Madrid would repeat when they met again at the Estadio San Mames.
Alaves were the final side to face them in the opening half of of the campaign but were no match for the Champions League holders, going down 4-1 at the Estadio Mendizorroza.
With a win on Sunday afternoon against Mauricio Pellegrino's charges, Madrid could make it an impressive 22 points from a possible 24 as they face their final Basque opponents of the season.
