Real Madrid midfielder, Martin Odegaard has signed a new deal with the La liga giants. Just before heading out on loan to join league rivales Real Sociedad, the Norwegian star extended his Real Madrid contract by two years so that it runs until 2023.
The 20 years old attacking midfielder cleared the air about the details of his loan deal with Real Soceidad revealing to the media that his loan deal with the Basque side is for the next two years with the option for him to stay at the club after his loan deal provided that all the three parties involve agrees.
As it stands, Odegaard will return to Santiago Bernabeu in 2021, which is why his contract was extended before this summer's move. Odegaard's long-term goal is to make it at the Estadio Santiago Bernanbeu.
It'll be in the summer of 2021 when his Real Madrid fate will be decided, as the sporting department will either try to make a space for him in the first-team squad or they'll sell him on a permanent basis.
