Real Madrid presented Vinicius for the first time to the public today after being signed by the Spanish giants last year. The club had to wait for the former flamengo forward to turn 18 years old before making a move down to the Santiago Bernabeu.
The Brazilian was joined by Ronaldo Nazario, his family, representatives and club president Florentino Perez, Vinicius defined Real Madrid as the best in the world on Friday when presented as a Blancos player.
"I know that adapting won't be easy, but I'm ready. I thank Florentino, Jose Angel [Sanchez] and [Juni] Calafat," the Brazilian told his first news conference.
"I thank my family for what they have done for me and for my dream, I will not disappoint them.
"Fortunately I was able choose from many great clubs and I chose the world's best.
"I will stay at Madrid, I will be in the first team and they will decide if I should play some games with Castilla to adapt as quickly as possible."
Los Blancos have forked out around 40 million euros for the teenager and he is determined to live up to his price tag as soon as possible.
"It is the greatest opportunity that a player can have, I am going to sacrifice a lot to show that I deserve this opportunity," noted Vinicius.
"I come from a very simple background and I have been taught many values, now I have reached the best club in the world at only 18 years old.
"I will show my coach and colleagues that I am ready to play."
