Real Madrid star breaks down in tears in training after receiving this news

3 months ago  Raphael   Sport News

Real Madrid's Jesus Vallejo's hopes of getting his career back on track suffered yet another set-back in training on Monday. The defender left the pitch at Valdebebas in tears after receiving the news that he will be out for some weeks yet again despite just returning from injury a few weeks ago while Santiago Solari did his best to console the 22-year-old. Vallejo has managed just two appearances for Los Blancos this season; against Melilla in the Copa del Rey in October and against CSKA Moscow in the Champions League in December.
This is already his fourth muscular injury so far this campaign - tests conducted this afternoon will determine the extent of this latest set-back. The Copa del Rey tie against Leganes on Wednesday, which Real Madrid already lead 3-0, would've been the perfect opportunity to give Vallejo some game time.
Muscular injuries blighted his loan spells at both Real Zaragoza and Eintracht Frankfurt, while the centre-back has managed just 14 games in 18 months at the Bernabeu. Javi Sanchez is expected to replace Vallejo in the squad for the trip to Butarque.
Real Madrid are already struggling for numbers given the amount of muscular injuries that have occurred since the start of January. The likes of Gareth Bale, Toni Kroos, Marcos Llorente and Thibaut Courtois have all fallen fowl of similar injuries in recent weeks, while Marco Asensio and Mariano have also been on the sidelines. The good news is that Bale, Kroos, Llorente, Courtois and Asensio were all involved in training on Monday at Valdebebas.
