Spanish manager Julen Lopetegui was relieved of his job by Real Madrid after a run of poor performance and poor results, but Los Blancos star defender Dani Carvajal still considers the Basque as a top-class coach.
The Galacticos right fullback went as far as to label Julen Lopetegui the best tactician he has worked with.
"For me, he is the best coach I have had," the defender said in an interview with TVE. "Unfortunately, he lacked the little bit of luck necessary to be able to continue with us.
"I share his way of seeing football, his way of managing a group and his way of being with the players. "I said this before he arrived at Real Madrid and I'll keep saying it even after he has gone.
"I'll keep saying it until I have another coach who does things better than him."
Carvajal was only able to play in eight matches during Lopetegui's Real Madrid tenure, having missed several games with injury.
