Real Madrid's crisis is now history

9 months ago  Raphael   Sport News

Not so long ago Real Madrid were fighting for their place in the Champions League qualification spaces and tumbling out of the Copa del Rey ahead of a tricky game against Paris Saint-Germain, but there reaction to such a situation has been rather stunning.

The month of February may have began with a draw at Levante and yet Los Blancos rallied in the four subsequent games to dispel any lingering fears about their top-four status.

While it was their attacking output that held them back beforehand, goals now flow with ease to the tune of 22 in six games, five of which were won convincingly.

Among them was a solid first leg triumph over PSG in the last-16 and any Real team still in the Champions League still has something to fight for.

Make no mistake, the maximum realistic goal in LaLiga is third place and the defence is still rather rocky, but turning that around to keep a clean sheet in Paris will remove any doubts as Zinedine Zidane's side look to bat away the last remnants of their late 2017 crisis.
