According to reports in Marca, Chelsea have reached an agreement with Real Madrid for the permanent signing of Mateo Kovacic and an announcement is expected in the coming hours.
Kovacic will move to the London club for a fee of around 45 million euros after impressing during his loan spell last season.
Chelsea have managed to get this deal over the line just days before their transfer ban kicks in on June 30. With the Croatian wanting a Real Madrid exit this summer, the move works for all parties.
