Cristiano Ronaldo was unveiled by his new team Juventus yesterday, and the former Real Madrid player was quick to express himself on how easy it is for him to choose to play for the Italian club.
Ronaldo also pointed out the fact that he took the decision long time ago despite his former club Real Madrid holding out hope until the last moment that he would reject the Old Lady.
"It was a simple decision, taken a long time ago," Ronaldo told reporters at his official presentation. "My colleagues and friends told me it was a club where I could play. It wasn't difficult.
"This is an important step in my career because it is a great club, with a great president, and great supporters. "I think about today and not about the future. I like challenges, as I have done throughout my career, which has been a real dream.
"I could not think of winning what I have won. I have new challenges and I am sure everything will be fine, as it has been in the past."
The Los Blancos are left with the task of finding another Talisman to lead the team, Cristiano is confused that they will survive without him.
"I don't think they're crying," he stated. "My time at Real Madrid was brilliant. "This is a new stage in my life and that one is over. I am very happy, motivated and focused, and I want to show the Italians that I am a top player.
"I'm going to prepare well. I have nothing to prove to anyone. I like challenges and I don't like to be comfortable.
"I've made history at Manchester United and Real Madrid and I want to do it here. Luck is sought and I am sure things will turn out well."
And even though he didn't get to say a proper goodbye to Los Blancos supporters, Ronaldo is happy with how things have panned out and also confirmed his international future.
"I'm not sad at all," he said of his lack of farewell. "Players of my age go to China or Qatar. The challenge here at Juve makes me super happy.
"I will never turn my back on my country. I will continue in the Portuguese national team."
