Sampaoli: Nobody has called me about Argentina job

With Argentina coach Edgardo Bauza reportedly facing an uncertain future in charge of his country, Jorge Sampaoli has been tipped to replace him, although he has insisted there has been no contact over the role.
The Albiceleste slumped to a disappointing 2-0 loss to Bolivia in their last World Cup qualifier, leading to suggestions that the FA could be set to part company with Bauza.
Although Sampaoli admitted he has discussed his Sevilla future with president Jose Castro, he claimed he has held no discussions about possibly taking charge of his country.
"I haven't been called by anyone from the Argentine FA because there is already a coach working there," he said.
"I'm focused only on our game against Sporting."That is a problem that they will have to solve in Argentina. This week I have met with the president twice to talk about next season and next week, we will continue to put plans in place."
Sampaoli also touched on his disappointment to see director of football Monchi depart the club but was positive he would be replaced appropriately.
"There is a feeling of emptiness at the club over it but we have to continue to function with the staff that we have," he added.
"The hierarchy will work hard to replace a man who has been among the best the club have ever had in his position. It is tough for the whole city."
