There were a lot of tension in the Los Blancos training session on Monday ahead of their UEFA Champions League clash with Viktoria Plzen as Real Madrid captain Sergio Ramos lost his cool as he kicked the ball twice in anger at Sergio Reguilon after the youngster had earlier struck him by accident.
It was during a session where the players had the ball in their arms and Reguilon threw himself across to prevent Ramos making a pass and knocked the defender is the face. Ramos then went after the player and kicked the ball at him.
Ramos continued to look at Reguilon with irritation and while the coaching staff decided to end the exercise, Ramos kicked the ball again at the youth player.
In the end it was Modric that looked to calm down Ramos who is going through a difficult period having initially recommended Lopetegui while his performances have been disappointing as well.
Sergio Ramos later apologised to Reguilon after his volatile reaction to accidentally being hit by the youngster in training and he responded by kicking the ball at him on a couple of occasions.
"Although it does not seem, are quite common situations, but no excuse, my reaction should not be that. We always go to full, don't we, Regui? At the end of the team victory together @sergio_regui! shelve and for tomorrow's game. #HalaMadrid"
Reguilon was happy to bring the issue to an end adding and sent a reply too: "always with my team and my captain, let's get a victory tomorrow."
