The Rojiblancos booked a place in the final of the Europa league at the expense of Arsenal which was a hard fought 1-0 win courtesy of Diego Costa. Speaking to the press after the match Diego Simeone made sure to praise his players coaching staff.

He was ban from being on the touchline from the first leg, but without his presence his team gets the job done at the Wanda Metropolitano.

The atmosphere at the Estadio Wanda Metropolitano was incredible too and Simeone commented on how the new stadium is starting to feel like home.

"Stadiums start to become fortresses through important victories," he said. "You could taste what the fanbase was feeling tonight. ”The stadium is extraordinary. "Tonight we started to write one of the first chapter of the Wanda Metropolitano."

Next up in their European quest is the final in Lyon, where they'll take on Olympique Marseille come May 16th.
